A plant-based bioplastic
The industry’s reliance on product security often leads to incinerating single-use plastics, releasing massive carbon emissions. The CellScrew®, made from bioplastic polylactic acid (PLA), offers a more sustainable alternative. Sourced renewably, it significantly reduces carbon emissions — even when disposed of through incineration.

80% less material use, 90% less emissions
The additive manufacturing process allows us to make more growth area from less raw material. Combined with the use of bioplastic PLA, the CellScrew® has a 90% lower carbon footprint than conventional polystyrene multi-layer stack systems.

Quality made in Germany
We’re producing our CellScrew in our own production facility in Gießen. To build a sustainable process from the beginning, we’re using sustainable sources of electricity and are recycling leftovers from our production. Additionally, we’re ISO 9001 certified, and are building a robust quality management system.
